tax - clients - large corporates

Most accounting firms of our size are primarily audit led. We have made a policy decision to avoid audit work and we are increasingly advising companies working alongside their auditors to provide tax services.

Audit of a large corporate is now primarily a risk assessment approach for the big four accounting firms. The team dealing with the tax and any advisory services is normally completely independent of the team performing the audit. Therefore increasingly firms are taking the view that they will seek to source services from two firms either on grounds of course or to ensure a better service.

Working together are Chief Executive Andrew Webster, and our corporate tax senior manager Joanne Lamberth who provides large corporates with all the expertise they require to be able to meet their statutory tax obligations at a much more competitive rate with access to a much more personalised advisory service.

As a senior tax inspector in Cambridge Andrew dealt with many of the larger companies in the area and as a senior manager with the big four practices Richard has led the tax compliance team working on many of East Anglia's largest companies.

Our tax services can be linked with our company secretarial services provided by Trina Hill.

Our international personal tax team provide an ex-pat tax service to the employees of large corporates.

international issues

We can advise large corporates investing in the UK on all aspects of this investment. Our team can handle corporate and personal tax issues, general employment law and HR matters and can even provide serviced office accommodation if necessary.

We can advise companies looking to invest overseas on issues to be addressed.

individual

We currently advise well-known local companies on all aspects of taxation.

We understand that sometimes our appointment is driven by the requirement to save fees on compliance but we are then much closer to the business than the advisers in a big firm, thefore giving a more personal service and the advice is much more proactive.
