New staff member: Trishna Shah

I started at Websters in November 2015, with my previous experience being in a much smaller, family run practice within Cambridge.

My role here is to assist the Account Managers on the Accounts and Business Tax team. This involves helping in the preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, limited companies and Limited Liability Partnerships, preparing self-assessment tax returns for sole traders and partnerships and other general compliance work.

During my few months here I’m enjoying the variety of clients that we work with as it is giving me opportunities to learn new skills.

We use a variety of different software packages, including Webster Accounts (which is an accountancy package that was developed in-house) to ensure that we can work on various issues as effectively as possible.

What I’m really enjoying about being part of the team at Websters is witnessing how our interdisciplinary team (which includes Accountants, specialist Tax Advisers, an IFA and a Solicitor) work together, supported by our Office Administrator and Office Manager, to give our clients the best service possible. I’m enjoying being part of a friendly and hard-working team where we pride ourselves on giving clients the best service that we can.

In the office we have a good working atmosphere. We were provided with various sweet treats to get us all through January (in order to meet the 31st January self-assessment deadline) and everyone worked extremely hard to ensure that all of the work was completed efficiently and effectively. We finished off January with the management getting pizza in for us at lunch which was a welcome treat! I’m enjoying being part of the team and am excited to see how the firm will continue to grow in the near and distant future.
