Four new members of staff!

Since our last Newsletter the following new members of staff have joined websters.

Colin Anderson

Colin originally started at websters as a consultant, but joined our Histon office full time back in November. He has been a general practice accountant for the last 29 years in Cambridge and Ely and has always enjoyed working with a very varied range of clients in many different industries and professions – predominantly with individuals and owner/family managed businesses.

Colin is married with two boomerangs whose combined age is older than his. He has lived in Cambridge for over forty years so knows the place quite well. Prior to getting behind a desk he was behind a steering wheel driving buses in and around Cambridge – he says they are quite easy to drive but you just have to remember they are a bit bigger than a car!

His claim to fame is that his great great grandfather designed and built the boat that took Amundsen (he borrowed it off Nansen) to the South Pole – if you are ever in Oslo then it is worth a look – it is a well-travelled vessel.

Richard Ling

Richard started at websters in February 2018 to join the team of account managers in the accounts department at the Cambridge office. He started working in accountancy in late 2008 qualifying under CAT in 2012 and as an ACCA member in 2014.

He previously worked for an accountancy firm in St Ives, Cambs, and has now been working in accountancy and tax for nearly 10 years.

In his spare time Richard enjoys sailing, rugby and playing in various bands as a trombonist.

Mandy Bunce

Mandy joined websters in March 2018 to work within the personal tax team at the Cambridge office. She qualified as a Tax Technician in 2017 and she will be continuing her studies this year towards the CTA.

She has been working in general practice for over 14 years. She previously worked for Barrow LLP as the tax senior and for Connor Warin before that as a tax assistant.

When she isn’t making sure all her clients are well looked after or spending time with her two young daughters, she enjoys travelling and going to festivals and gigs.

Liz Copeland

Liz also joined websters in March 2018 to join our Sydney office in Australia, headed up by Jo Lamberth. She will be assisting with preparation of UK and Australian Tax returns, as well assisting with various advice to clients including UK and Australian residence positions.

Prior to moving from London to join websters in the Sydney office, Liz worked for two firms in the UK gaining over six years UK tax experience and qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser.

Outside of work Liz enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports and socialising with friends; having moved to Sydney, this now includes meeting up on the beach!
