Head of UK Tax, Cambridge
We are looking for someone who enjoys advising individuals about their tax affairs. You will feel confident to advise both individuals and businesses and will want to make a significant contribution to moving this business forward. The founder is a tax specialist – but our other two senior tax advisers prefer to specialise in international personal issues leaving a clear opportunity for someone to develop. You will work as part of a team including Australian, US and UK specialists. You will have an opportunity to give advice across a wide range of individuals and types of businesses from multi-millionaire entrepreneurs to owners of long standing family companies.
We are willing to consider candidates with different levels of experience since the Chief Executive would be able to guide development for a less experienced consultant. What is much more important is the potential to develop and the confidence to feel that you can make a difference in a firm which values intellect above conformity. The role might suit someone with a large firm background who realises that their skill set is better suited to a team of 30 where their individuality is a virtue.
Although the candidate would be initially based in the Cambridge Office we would be willing to consider candidates who might want to be partly based at home after an initial period of induction.
You will report to the Chief Executive – founder of the business and an ex Inspector of Taxes.
Preferred qualification: Chartered Tax Adviser. Chartered accountant, ex-HMRC, solicitor or a candidate with substantial experience also considered.
Part time US tax return, Cambridge
We are looking for someone who is familiar with preparing US tax returns to work in our International Tax team. The role is to replace a colleague who had to return to the US. Ideally, the candidate will be familiar with preparing US returns for ex-pats but we would be happy to provide training to someone who has prepared US returns for US based clients. You would be based in our Cambridge office
