business start-up
We have helped literally hundreds of clients set up in business. This includes sole trades, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies.
We bring in the relevant members of our multi-disciplinary team and so unlike normal accountants, we can offer a complete service to suit all of your needs. It is not just that this approach can save you some money but getting advice on things they know that you may not know. For many start ups it means that they get advice that otherwise they would not have known that they needed "the unknown unknowns", as Donald Rumsfeld described them.
We have a dedicated business start up team who can assist you with the type of entity to trade under which provides the most efficient level of tax, advice on what records to keep and we can assist you with the maintenance and preparation of accounting records and year end returns.
Our Chief Executive started this business 20 years ago and has the experience and the expertise in dealing with problems which a growing business faces. You can draw upon his experiences to help you find practical solutions to the problems you face. He can help you juggle the competing demands on your time and on your money. The key to success in business is choosing the right balance between spending these two key resources.
We also know that no two businesses are the same and we use our experience and our expertise to help you start and to grow your business in the way that is right for you.
why chose
websters?
Our team provides the professional service you want from an accountant but our web-based accounting software gives greater efficiency.
We offer the facility for clients to record and update their accounts online using WebsterAccounts, our exclusive online accounting service. This software was developed by our sister company to our design.
You can keep your costs to a sensible level for routine matters but buy in access to a specialist team led by a former Tax Inspector when you need advice.
Alternatively the online software can be the centre of an outsourced solution. You can engage a bookkeeper who does not need to work on site to enter your accounting date. We can provide a bookkeeper if necessary and often this is particularly suitable as an interim measure, e.g. in a fast growing business where the requirements are changing fast.
Whether you want DIY to keep the costs as low as possible or a fully outsourced solution to free your time, we offer a solution to meet your needs.
taxation
The first decision, once you have made the decision to start a business, is the legal structure you should adopt. This is not about tax but for many this is a crucial part of the decision. We can plan the right tax structure for your; LLP, company, group or a mix to ensure you pay the right amount of tax.
We have lots of experience in advising on buying and selling businesses tax efficiently. So if you are starting in business by buying an existing business then we can help with these negotiations.
international
We have advised on UK start ups for overseas investors. This could be an overseas group looking to open a UK office or on a few occasions overseas entrepreneurs attracted by the ease of starting a UK company for their business operations.
We have looked after all accountancy work for UK subsidiaries with overseas parent companies.
We can also advise you on setting up a business overseas or perhaps moving your existing business to another country.
small business team
We have set up a dedicated team for new start ups. We can provide a starting in business guide which sets out what needs to be done so that you make an informed choice about what you do yourself and what you pay an accountant to help you with.
We can assist and train you in all aspects of bookkeeping so that you save money. It is always cheaper to learn how to do it right yourself rather than pay someone else to put it right after the event.
Due to our close relationships with our clients, we find and adopt the best tax strategy to suit your needs. We then give you the help and support you need, whether you need to keep your costs to the absolute minimum or whether you need to spend as little time as is necessary on your accounting.
