Tax Consultant
Joanne qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000, completing her training in audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Reading. She was then invited to join a specialist tax team comprising a partner and senior manager and focussing on advising high net worth private clients and providing a specialist service to high tech companies and their founders.
Following relocation to the Cambridge area she joined Grant Thornton, working as both a member of the tax team and the high tech team. There she worked closely with partners and senior managers advising: high net worth private clients; companies on shares schemes and corporation tax issues and with the support of a senior tax manager, developing a specialism in advising on R&D tax credits.
She joined AW Ltd as a tax consultant in 2002, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in early 2003. Following a career break of 2 years, Joanne rejoined the tax team in July 2005. Her areas of expertise include:
