Every business has its own style. Ours has developed because we are a multi-disciplinary team founded by an ex-Inspector of Taxes not an ordinary firm of accountants. We pride ourselves on an informal approach and we take pleasure in giving advice to clients. We were delighted when one person said that they wanted to become a client because they walked past the office and heard people laughing.
We support our clients by having a highly skilled team. We do insist on a higher standard in our employees than is the norm in accountancy businesses. Offering flexible hours has allowed us to recruit and retain some great people and makes it a good place to work even for the majority who have to work full time.
Founded and led by an ex-Tax Inspector we put tax planning before accountancy. A team of 20; Chartered Tax Advisers, Chartered & Certified Accountants, a Solicitor, Chartered Secretary, Chartered Insurer and IFAs. A truly multi-disciplinary team.

history
The business was started in 1990 with Andrew Webster operating from home and specialising in one-off tax advice and helping businesses under investigation by the Inland Revenue.
After an unsuccessful joint venture the business was redefined in 1996 with a clear mission to grow organically by providing a service that mixed imaginative advice with the recurring services of preparing tax returns and accounts.
The business has grown ever since and we are lucky to have a great team in place so that we can accelerate that growth as the economy starts to emerge from recession.
Andrew Webster Ltd took over the sole trade Andrew Webster Associates in 2002.
On 1 October 2010 we became known as websters.
business structure
Our business structure is slighly unusual to cope with the wide range of services we can offer. websters is a joint venture between Andrew Webster Ltd registered in England and Wales No. 4460609 and AWA Financial Planning Ltd registered in England and Wales No. 6749599.
The Financial Advice we give which is regulated by the Financial Services Authority must be law given by AWA Financial Planning Ltd. This company is the authorised representative of Oakwood Asset Management LLP who monitor compliance but the directors of the company are the same as for Andrew Webster Ltd.
We offer audit services by partnering with Registered Auditors; we also partner with other accounting firms to offer a tax return filing service in other countries e.g. USA.
Your formal Client Service Agreement will be in the name of both of our companies and may include the auditing firm or foreign accountancy firm in addition.
IT services are provided by AWA IT Ltd registered in England and Wales No. 4460690.

Paulette Peterson our international personal tax consultant is based in France
Joanne Lamberth is now in Australia establishing a new branch which specialises in clients with interests in both UK & Australia but still works for UK clients.
Keiron Trott is our software developer and is based in Castricum in Netherlands.
