Solving UK-Australian tax problems

We offer a single point of advice for individuals, businesses and corporate clients whose personal or business affairs involve both UK and Australia.
For over fifteen years we have had clients in both countries and over the last five years our largest client was an Australian plc with a UK subsidiary.
In September 2009 Joanne Lamberth, one of our Senior Tax Consultants, left Cambridge, UK to be based in Sydney, Australia.
Who can we help? Our team has nineteen people across UK, Australia, Netherlands & France including everything from a bookkeeper, asolicitor, accountants, financial advisors as well as the crucial tax consultants who help minimise unnecessary taxation. Few small teams can bring together this range of expertise. Specialists in each of the UK and Australia together with specialists in tax issues involved in moving between any two or more countries.
We are not tied to the very high hourly rates of large firms - and you get the bonus of a more personal service. We have clients from individuals with some tax issues to a large plc with significant questions of transferring pricing and a need for continuous bookkeeping in the UK.

Current Issues |
 |
Residence - UK rules still lack clarity pending court decisions. This primarily affects regular visitors to UK.
UK Inheritance Tax - many emigrants may unknowingly still be liable after leaving.
Pension Migration - you often only have a short period to make new arrangements.
Remittance Basis - if you are going to arrive in the UK from Australia then you need to know that the tax regime is no longer quite as generous as it was!
Exchange Rate - the low value of sterling creates problems for Brits and opportunities for Australians.
