Senior Manager Accounts - Lee Camp
My role for clients is to help them use the information in their accounting systems to better manage their businesses. I tend to work with the larger business clients.
I have over ten years experience working in the accounting profession and working for clients. Until joining Andrew Webster my professional work was largely accounts and audit based - although I have worked on financial due-diligence, outsourced financial director roles and business planning.
Having experienced first hand what it is like to work as a Finance Director within a larger business and knowing how to run a business, I am well placed to identify clients needs to provide not only the level of service they expect, but the insight to assess and deliver on all of their needs.
The work and service I provide is to the highest standard covering a wide variety of accounting areas and I enjoy being able to provide a complete service to clients. Having worked as a Finance Director I realised that I missed the challenge of being able to work with a variety of businesses. The challenges are very different but I feel that my particular skills are better used in a practice with a range of different clients with different needs. |

After leaving College in 1999, I joined Lubbock Fine as a trainee where I passed the Association of Accounting Technician exams and then quickly moved on to becoming an Chartered Accountant ("ACA") in 2003. I quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior audit manager managing a varied portfolio. The clients under my care ranged from FSA regulated corporate financiers, Museums, property development business, BMW dealers through to recruitment companies, money transfer businesses, small owner managed business and partnerships.
I was seconded to Stephen James BMW in August 2008 and was approached by the owner (Ben Collins) in October 2008 to be their Group Financial Director. Whilst there I enhanced the systems and controls and aided them with various internal and external reporting procedures.
Whilst I gained invaluable experience with Stephen James, I realised that my heart belongs in an accounting practice and I joined Andrew Webster Limited as a senior manager in January 2010.

| Working as part time FD |

Having worked as a Finance Director I am able to operate as a part time FD for companies who need this service.
This could either be to cover an interim period between appointments - or to help a company through a difficult patch - or perhaps to help assess what staff are actually required in your internal accounting team.

My main interest outside of work is playing golf, socialising with friends and family and throwing dinner parties.
I do enjoy red wine and my favourite tipple is Chianti

| The Future |

I plan to lead an expansion of the team at Andrew Webster which looks after our larger clients. Working closely with our Corporation Tax tax specialists we can provide a range of services aimed at companies with turnover in the £5m-£20m range.
Many of these companies will require an audit and we work closely with a small number of auditing firms to provide a "joined up" service which retains the independence of the auditor whilst giving the clients a seamless service and access to the best advice.
